WindForce Acquires Majority Stake in 10 MW Puttalam Wind Project

WindForce PLC has acquired a 51% equity stake in Safe Power International (Pvt) Ltd to develop a 10 MW wind power project in Alankuda, Puttalam District, with an estimated total investment of Rs. 4.2 billion. The project financing follows a 75:25 debt-to-equity ratio. The remaining 49% stake is held by Arinma Power (Pvt) Ltd. The shareholder agreement formalizing this partnership was signed on October 3, 2025. This project reinforces WindForce’s leadership in Sri Lanka’s renewable energy sector, contributing to sustainable energy growth in the region.
