In construction, Quality Control includes site inspections, material testing, checking dimensions and verifying workmanship. In IT projects, QC involves software testing, bug identification and performance checks.

 

The main goal of Quality Control is to detect problems and fix them before the final delivery.

 

Key Difference Between QA and QC

 

The main difference between Quality Assurance and Quality Control lies in their approach. Quality Assurance focuses on preventing defects by improving processes, while Quality Control focuses on detecting and correcting defects in the final output.

In IT and engineering projects, QA and QC are equally important. Quality Assurance ensures that development processes, coding standards and design practices are followed correctly. This helps reduce errors in the early stages.

 

Quality Control ensures that the final product is tested and verified. It identifies bugs, performance issues and system failures before the product is delivered to the client. This improves reliability and user satisfaction.

 

Why Both QA and QC Are Necessary

 

Many people think QA or QC alone is enough, but both are necessary for successful project management. Without QA, projects may face frequent errors and rework because proper processes are not followed. Without QC, defects may go unnoticed and affect the final quality.
