At my Project Management training programmes, students occasionally raise an interesting question: Why is Safety Management not specifically categorized as a separate Project Management Knowledge Area or Performance Domain?

මම බොහෝ විට ගල්, වැලි, යකඩ සහ කොම්පියුටර් තිර අතර ජීවත් වන්නෙක්මි. ඒ අතරම ඒ ද්රව්ය අතරින් සිහින ගොඩනඟන මිනිසුන් සිය ගණනක් සමඟද මගේ ජීවිතය ගලා යයි. එහෙත් මේ සියලු දෙනා තුළ සැඟවී ඇති සෞන්දර්යය සොයා යෑමටද මම වෙහෙසෙමි. ඉංජිනේරු විද්යාව යනු ගණිතමය සූත්ර සහ සටහන්වලට පමණක් සීමා වූ ක්ෂේත්රයක් නොවිය යුතු බව සිතන සහෘදයන් මට නොඅඩුව මුණගැසී තිබේ. එය මිනිස් ආත්මයේ නිර්මාණශීලිත්වය සහ ගොඩනැඟීමේ අරමුණ එකට මුසු වූ සජීව භාෂාවකි.

In Sri Lanka, procurement management is governed by the Government Procurement Guidelines (2006, with subsequent amendments) and the latest Procurement Manuals updated up to 2024/2025. These frameworks provide structured procedures to ensure that procurement activities are conducted efficiently and ethically while minimizing risks and disputes.
